Je me permets d’insister, histoire qu’on soit bien conscient des risques du projet et s’ils sont avérés, ou si en fait on ne sait pas trop ce qui c’est passé (p’tet juste une intervention de prudence du site). Après si ça reste sur Cwowd dans un salon privé, et sans pub autour, je pense pas que le risque soit si grand pour une version localisée maison. BGG c’est quand même une autre visibilité….
Moi aussi, un jour je serais à la retraite, et j’aurais tout le temps nécessaire pour développer ce genre de dinguerie!
Oui, c’est sûr. La modération bgg communique toujours avant de bannir un compte. Après, ils le font de manière préventive, le détenteur de la licence ne les avaient pas contactés préalablement.
Je parlais du salon dont l’accès nécessite quelques prérequis. Il me semble que c’est la solution qui avait été envisagée pour l’extension fan made Prédator.
Ça n’avait pas posé de problème particulier pour le fanmade zelda non (hors le poste du grenier ludique) ? (ou alors c’est que ici on prend un jeu existant et une grosse licence).

Je crois l’avoir dit dans ce sujet mais ça pose toujours un problème, qu’il y ait volonté de faire de l’argent ou non.
Il suffit que quelqu’un ait une bonne idée de ce genre pour que quelqu’un d’autre s’en empare et en fasse commerce sur son dos. C’est très gentil d’offrir un tel travail à toute la communauté mais vous pouvez être sûr que si ça allait au bout, in trouverait des Ark Nova Pokémon à vendre sur diverses plateformes. Et pas pour le profit du créateur, ni de l’éditeur original d’ailleurs.

Je me souviens d’une conversation avec un pote à moi (qui est commercial, en même temps y avait des signes :p), j’expliquait que ça m’agace de voir des gens vendre des impressions 3D basé sur des plans fais par des gens qu’ils laissent en libre circulation sur le net pour que les gens s’en servent.
Dans sa logique interne à lui, le mec l’a donné, maintenant on peut tous en faire ce qu’on veut, y compris du profit. A aucun moment le fait que l’intention de base était de donner accès librement à quelque chose n’entre en considération, pour lui c’est simple, « lui ne veux pas faire de profit, ok, mais moi j’en ai envie, donc je peux le faire. ». Moi ça me rends fou, parce que ça tire plein de cordes morales dans mon cerveau, mais j’ai l’impression que pour beaucoup de gens ça n’est absolument pas le cas

To answer a few things. Yes I got banned on BGG. Someone posted my Pokemon Ark Nova on the BGG Facebook page which apparently got like an incredible amount of attention which made the BGG mods take notice and ban me for distributing unlicensed IP. I appealed the ban, but they deleted all my posts. I got banned again later because I posted some more re-themes like Lord of the Rings Clank Catacombs and Spy X Family Agent Avenue, but I suppose that’s deserved since they said they’ll ban me again if I kept sharing re-themes of IPs I don’t own.
Regarding the whole IP issue, I don’t own the IP or the art on the cards. That’s why I try to give credit as much as possible. For example, you can see that I include the artist names on most of the cards I template and make you can look them up on instagram or twitter to find more of their art. Regarding money and profit, I don’t make any money from these projects. It’s just a hobby and I do it for fun. I like board games and I like the IPs so I combine them and I like crafting stuff so it’s enjoyable for me. However, I did find a bootleg version of Pokemon Ark Nova on a Chinese website (translated to chinese as well) and it’s sold over 100 copies and $2000 which is wild. But it is not my intention to take away sales or revenue from either the Pokemon creators or the Ark Nova creators. I honestly did not think this project would even get that much attention when I made it because my previous projects didn’t get as much recognition nor has my projects after this one.
Lastly, I want to thank this community because my initial version I shared had so many little mistakes which I wish I caught myself but there were so many cards and details that I was unable to find all of them on my own. This community really helped by finding a lot of the errors and give feedback to me which helped me correct those mistakes. So I want to thank you guys cause this is definitely my most successful project because a lot of people have downloaded it and shared pictures of their print and play and makes me happy that they enjoy something that I spent a lot of time on. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Also if there’s any interest, I just completed a few projects like Pokemon Harmonies and Genshin Impact Knarr, two really great games and fun re-themes I’m really proud of. Great work you’ve done with this one. @zed initiated a French translation but the project has been on pause for quite a while it seems. There were some uncertainties given your BGG ban but now that we have you here and that the situation is clarified, maybe people will restart the translation

Yes, I took a big hit this year professionally speaking, that’s why I stopped working on that project. But I still intent to do it, as I bought my own version of Ark nova.
