Public Mission: Gemino the Prisoner
Oh, do not fret for me. The cold is merciful, for it relieves our pain and numbs us before it leads us to our deaths. Perhaps the Miracle the others spoke of has come to me, here in this iron tomb, lengthening distress more and more…
This goal was unlocked when the project’s total pledge amount reached 760 000 €.

It’s update time!
26 New Miniatures and an Exclusive Expansion: Discover Everything!
New daily stretch goal unlocked, and weekend recap!
Hello, Penitents!
We’ve reached the first weekend of this campaign, and it gives us a chance to catch our breath after the frantic first few days!
The reveal of the first expansion yesterday, featuring Quirce, has sparked a lot of excitement in the community, which makes us very happy. But as we said, this is just the beginning! The campaign still has many surprises in store for all of you!
For those who missed yesterday’s reveal, here’s a quick recap of what’s inside the new expansion.
Also, many of you asked about the size of the Amargura compared to a Penitent, so we’ve prepared a Size Comparison just for you! Yes, the Amargura are really big… and absolutely stunning!
A quick reminder: Returned by the Flames is a Crowdfunding Exclusive expansion!
What does Crowdfunding Exclusive mean? Just take a look at the image below, which will also be added to the project’s home page!
In short, Crowdfunding Exclusives allow us to say « thank you! » to the backers of this campaign for their support by offering exclusive and exceptional products!
After this brief recap, it’s time to introduce today’s Daily Stretch Goal: 5 fantastic Plastic Quest Tokens!
Their use is quite simple and allows us to talk about an important part of the game.
When a Public Quest is put into play, its card is placed in one of the dedicated slots on the game board. Typically, each Quest requires you to perform one or more actions in specific areas of Cvstodia.
To make sure that all players clearly understand where to resolve each Quest, Objective Tokens made of cardboard are used. There are 5 types of these tokens, each distinguished by a symbol (Key, Scroll, etc.) and a color, and each type corresponds to a Quest Token.
When a Public Quest is placed on the board, a Quest Token (of your choice) is positioned in the dedicated space near the bottom left corner of the Quest card. The associated Objective Tokens are then placed in the areas of Cvstodia where the Quest can be resolved.
This connection between the Public Quest card and the areas will always make it clear to all players how to complete it and help them plan their strategies effectively!
Each of the 5 sculpted Plastic Quest Tokens features a « high relief » design of one of the symbols that distinguish the 5 types of cardboard Objective Tokens provided in the core box, enhancing your game board with refined cosmetic elements.
The Quest Tokens are the first cosmetic Stretch Goal we’re presenting, but as always, your opinion is extremely important to us!
So tell us if you like them and if you’d like to see more cosmetic Stretch Goals throughout the campaign!
As usual, we’re also taking this opportunity to show you the updated contents of the Stretch Goal Box, which is growing more and more! After just 4 days of the campaign, we’re already at 26 additional miniatures beyond the core box, not to mention the tons of gameplay these miniatures, and all the other unlocked components, will add to your games of Blasphemous: The Board Game!
Mdr je me dis pareil.
Personal Quest: Vow of Solitude
Only by walking in solitude will the true Penitent find what the Miracle has hidden in the depths of his guilty soul.
This goal was unlocked when the project’s total pledge amount reached 800 000 €.

Discover the hidden power of the Penitents!
Daily Stretch Goal revealed!
Hello, Penitents!
We’re back with a new update, ready to unveil today’s Daily Stretch Goal!
After the Penitent of the Twisted Soul, the Penitent of the Prayer of Abdon also receives an Alternative Penitent Card!
In Update #12, we gave you a sneak peek of these cards, but today we’ll take a closer look and share some insights about how Penitents work.
Alternative Penitent Cards effectively add a new version of a Penitent when choosing your alter ego for the game, while still retaining the fundamental characteristics of each Penitent.
This means, for example, that the Penitent of the Twisted Soul will remain the most agile and « light » of the four Penitents. However, the new stats and abilities brought by his Alternative Penitent Card will offer new options to explore.
Similarly, the Penitent of the Prayer of Abdon*,*** the star of today’s Alternative Penitent Card, will remain the most resilient of the four. But by embracing the Penance of the Bleeding Heart, the Penitent of Abdon’s Prayer dedicates himself to the hunt and extermination of the abominations born of the Miracle.
Though he loses part of his exploratory abilities, he gains formidable defenses and skills that allow him to fight with relentless fury.
Capable of cutting down even the most formidable foes and enduring their assaults, he moves like a bastion of redemption, annihilating all who dare stand in his way. This Penitent does not seek enlightenment; instead, he embraces violence as a means of both atonement and redemption.
So, even more options and new possibilities to enhance replayability and satisfy those who love to explore every facet of the game!
Since we’re talking about Penitents, we thought we’d give you a quick overview of the information on their cards. In this image (taken from the rulebook), you can start learning how to read a Penitent card.
One thing we’re particularly proud of is the inclusion of Resistances! This is a concept beloved in video games—especially the « Souls-like » genre that inspired Blasphemous—but is rarely used in board games. Resistances will significantly impact your battles against Enemies and Nemeses.
Every Penitent starts with innate Resistances, but during their Pilgrimage, they can enhance existing ones and acquire new ones!
We’re very curious to know what you think about this!
The Penitent Card will fit into the Penitent Board, made of double-layer cardboard, with various slots to neatly hold the card and acrylic cubes so they won’t scatter at the slightest bump to the table.
Here’s an image from the rulebook to give you an idea of how it works.
We’re very satisfied to have created a Player Board that’s complete yet doesn’t take up much space on the gaming table.
As you can see, the Penitent Board is packed with tracks, where you can update all your values throughout the game with the help of Acrylic Cubes.
One of our favorites is undoubtedly the Pain Track (I). This value increases every time you fail a Test or an attack. When you reach a certain threshold, you can unleash it to gain a significant bonus.
It’s a way to balance particularly unlucky rolls and prevent a player from falling behind just because of bad luck with the dice!
Though as the game progresses, there are many ways to manipulate and manage dice rolls (and we’ll talk more about that soon!), our playtesters loved this feature!
As always, we’re eager to read your comments and feedback, so don’t be shy—let us know what you think!

Discover the true power of Weapon Dice and Prayers!
Daily Stretch Goal and gameplay preview!
Hello, Penitents!
A new week has begun in Cvstodia, and the campaign continues its unstoppable march towards new heights—many more surprises await you!
But let’s not waste any time and dive straight into today’s Daily Stretch Goal!
The Acolytes march in silence through the halls of Mercy Dreams, clad in scarlet cassocks and white surplices. Their skeletal hands clutch twisted candelabras, their arms writhing like cursed roots, fueling a flame that never fades.
Once devoted servants, they are now prisoners of an eternal procession, doomed to wander without purpose—except to punish those who dare defile their sacred ground. They do not speak, they do not falter—they only advance, their path lit by a flame that offers no solace, only damnation.
This Daily Stretch Goal adds to your pledge 6 Acolyte miniatures, a Tier I Enemy, and an Enemy Card with all their stats and special rules.
What a fantastic load of new miniatures today! Let us know if you like them, and don’t worry—many more miniatures (and no, they’re not all enemies) are waiting for their moment to be revealed!
But the update doesn’t end here! Keep reading because we want to share some more information about…
Weapon Dice and the Role of Prayers
In the game system, Weapon Dice represent the offensive capabilities of the Penitent and are used to resolve attacks against enemies. Each die is modular, meaning its faces can be customized throughout the game, allowing players to personalize their combat style.
Weapon Dice initially have Basic Sides, which provide simple results such as:
- Attack Values: Numbers that determine if an enemy is defeated by an attack.
- Fervor Symbols: Allow the Penitent to accumulate spiritual energy.
- Defense Symbols: Enable avoidance of enemy counterattacks and are essential for defeating tougher enemies.
Throughout the pilgrimage, players can unlock Advanced Sides, replacing basic ones with more powerful effects. This allows players to optimize their rolls based on the chosen strategy, making every attack an opportunity for choice and adaptation.
Prayers are one of the key mechanics to influence the outcomes of Weapon Dice. Each Prayer allows players to manipulate rolls in different ways, offering multiple tools to adapt to combat.
Here are some of the most common interactions between Prayers and Weapon Dice:
Controlled Re-rolls
Some Prayers allow you to re-roll a certain number of dice, improving the chances of a favorable outcome.
Temporary Enhancements
Certain Prayers can increase the value of a die or a symbol after rolling, ensuring success even with an initially unfavorable roll.
Additional Dice
These Prayers add a result to your roll as if you had rolled an extra die. These effects are crucial to defeating enemies that require 4 results to be beaten without the help of other Penitents.
Dice Multiplication
Some Prayers allow you to multiply dice by including both the face-up result and the one touching the table, enabling you to confront enemies that are otherwise unbeatable solo at the beginning of the game.
The optimal arrangement of Weapon Dice Sides is essential to maximize roll outcomes. For instance, placing specific Sides on opposite faces of the die or having a certain number of symbols on multiple Sides allows, through Prayers, the creation of incredibly powerful and adaptable tactics and results.
The synergy between Weapon Dice, Advanced Sides, and Prayers creates a dynamic and deep combat system. The player is never at the mercy of randomness but always has tools to modify, enhance, and optimize their rolls. Thanks to this combination, each Penitent can develop their playstyle based on strategic choices and the ability to adapt to the challenges posed by the Miracle.
Now that you have more information, what do you think of this game system? Let us know your thoughts!
