Mais il n’est pas près d’arriver :
We said on September 9th That we expected your games to be shipped that week. This was because we were told the ship the games were meant to arrive on (MSC Victorine) was meant to dock on the 6th of September. When we contacted the fulfilment company to ask how things were going on the 13th of September, they said they hadn’t received the games yet. At this point, we should have contacted the shipping forwarder to see what was going on. However, we’ve had ships delayed because of queues at ports before. So we just checked the Felixstowe dockyard website, to find that the ship had indeed been in a queue for 7 days, and would be docking on the 13th. Therefore, we expected the game to arrive with the fulfilment hub around the 16th-18th.
We contacted the hub again on the 18th and they still had not had the games delivered to them. This is when we contacted the shipping forwarder. They informed us that the games were never on the MSC Victorine due to overbooking, and instead the they were put on the MSC Rosa M. It’s fair to say we were very annoyed about this. We understand overbooking happens all the time. But not to be informed that our goods had been changed to a new ship was quite frustrating, because it meant that we had communicated the wrong things to you the backers, and to the fulfilment hub who has a load of projects to schedule.
The shipping forwarder told us that the games would port on the 20th of September and arrive at the fulfilment hub today. After this issues we’ve had with the shipping forwarder and port this month, we checked in with them again today to be told that the queue at Felixstowe has increased and they will not arrive at the UK shipping hub until the 1st of October.
So what does this mean for your games and their delivery date? The fulfilment hub have said they will get the games out as fast as they can. But to do this, the will no longer ship to the EU first. Instead, they will ship them by type. So they will ship to all locations for those that have backed the base game first. Then they will pack and ship to everyone who backed the base game plus expansion, and so on. This is regardless of your location. So our current time frame for games being delivered to UK and EU backers is around the 3rd of October to the 18th of October.
We could have communicated this to you as it was happening, but instead we decided to wait until we had a solid understanding of the situation before posting this update with all the information, so you can understand the full problem and the steps we have taken to resolve it. We also believed with the information we were getting, that although there were delays, most of you would still have your games before Essen.
