Je viens de voir la publication sur FB. Ils ont bien amélioré le détail des tuiles. Visuellement c’est beau.

En même temps, à part le thème et la présence de tuiles, y’a pas vraiment d’autres similitudes entre les 2. Fjords était annoncé comme un jeu simple (c’est une réédition de Fjorde paru en 2005) et ça me va.
Fjordar à l’inverse avait l’air d’une usine à gaz.

A closer look at the ships and the Leidang unit. The institution known as Leidang was a form of conscription to organize coastal fleets for seasonal excursions and in defense of the realm, and also a public levy of free farmers. It was typical for the Scandinavian countries, and was somewhat similar to the Fyrd-system in Anglo-Saxon England. According to the Icelandic sagas the Leidang was introduced by King Håkon the Good in the 10th century. Under the Leidang system, each Skipsrei (a coastal administrative area that went as far inland « as the salmon runs », and consisting of 160 farms) was responsible for building, maintaining, equipping and staffing one ship. Each farm in the Skipsrei was responsible for supplying one armed man for the ship. In Fjordar, when arriving in a village, you can either tax the village or muster a new Leidang there.
We would like to give you a closer look at the beautiful castle miniature that Francesco Orrù made for us last year. Here you can also glimpse some of the amazing art for the terrain tiles, that Michael Adamidis made for us. In Fjordar the castle miniatures are used for the fortresses placed at various strategic locations, but also for the cities of medieval Norway. In this example you can see our hometown of Bergen.

Les figs ont surtout changé de teinte, mais les tuiles et la DA a changée en beaucoup mieux je trouve!

This is mainly what we have been working on since autumn last year when we decided that we now were quite happy with how the new and updated gameplay of Fjordar was working. Even though we have been blindtesting the rulebook quite a few times these last months, this is still a work in progress.
