The path to Middle-earth will soon open for new adventurers. We are thrilled to reveal that the acclaimed second edition of The One Ring™ roleplaying game is coming soon in a 5E adaptation, entitled The Lord of the Rings™ Roleplaying.
The Lord of the Rings™ Roleplaying contains everything you need to create exciting 5E adventures set in the world’s most popular fantasy setting: six original heroic cultures from the land of Eriador, six new classes, a host of terrifying adversaries, and comprehensive rules for journeys, councils, wondrous artefacts, and the subtle magic of Middle-earth.
The Lord of the Rings™ Roleplaying core compendium will enter pre-order this fall, alongside a scenario module entitled Shire Adventures. A pre-order will give you immediate access to a full PDF of the products. The retail release of both is planned for Q1 2023.

J’aime ce que fait Free League, mais là, je ne sais pas. Il y a déjà Aventures in Middle Earth qui fait la même chose, et de toute façon, je ne suis pas sûr que D&D soit le jeu le plus indiqué pour émuler du Tolkien.
Retour aux sources ! D&D est largement inspiré des écrits de Tolkien 
Et puis là c’est le système de la 5e qui est utilisé, pas l’univers de D&D. Du coup il est tout à fait possible de jouer dans l’univers de la terre du milieu avec le système de la 5e. Même si les ambiances ne sont pas forcément identiques, il y a de quoi envoyer les aventuriers nettoyer la Moria par exemple 
Vue le succès de la 5e, on a pas fini de voir les univers adaptés de toute façon…

En gros jouer à Aventures en Terres du milieu ?
La lecture (pas eu l’occasion d’y jouer) était top.
Entièrement d’accord.
Même si Terre des Héros, d’Olivier Legrand, me semble ce qui se fait de mieux.
Dd5 est simple à comprendre, facile à expliquer et a un côté héroïque qui permet aux héros de monter en puissance et donc d’apporter un réel plaisir de jeu pour les p’tits nouveaux du jdr.
Quoi qu’on en dise c’est un excellent système pour attirer des jeunes vers les JDR
En plus si free League mène bien sa barque ça peut être sympa.
En revanche il va falloir être patient avant de le voir arriver en français !!! 
Oui en attendant de le voir en VF la préco pour la VO est ouverte sur le site de Free League…

The pre-order gives immediate access to complete PDFs.
The Lord of the Rings™ Roleplaying is 236-page hardback volume that contains what you need to create 5E adventures set in the world’s most popular fantasy setting: six original heroic cultures from the land of Eriador, six new classes, a host of terrifying adversaries, and comprehensive rules for journeys, councils, wondrous artefacts, and the subtle magic of Middle-earth.
Shire™ Adventures is a 104-page hardback volume that describes the Shire in great detail, as well as five short adventures and seven pre-generated characters, including famous Bagginses, Tooks, and Brandybucks! The contents of Shire™ Adventures are adapted from the Starter Set for The One Ring™ RPG.
The official retail release of all items is planned for early 2023, but the pre-order in the Free League webshop gives immediate access to complete PDFs of The Lord of the Rings™ Roleplaying and Shire™ Adventures. You can even report your feedback on these PDFs on our forums before they go to print!
Note that PDFs of the 5E Loremaster’s Screen and Rivendell Compendium will be shared at a later date.
