Le flood CMON

Dans les com de god of war :

Hey all, was at Essen and spoke to the marketing guy at the CMON stand. He was very open and honest - offering to answer any questions. I’m waiting on 5 projects including He-man, Dune, God of war, and Dark Providence, so was obviously keen to hear what he had to say.
He came across as very genuine - putting his hands up to say communication to us backers wasn’t the best, but they are between a rock and a hard place - news of delay doesn’t go down well, and saying nothing goes down even worse!
Anyway, he said that having to sell the C:DMD IP was a real heart breaker, but was to help ensure they can deliver on their commitments to all of us.
There will be a steady pipeline of games coming to us this year (Dark providence, Dune and another I can’t remember) then next year most of the others - with one or 2 possibly slipping into early 2027 - which could include this.
It sounded genuine and heart felt, and I believed it….and just wanted to share in the hope that it gives reassurance to oth

Shedding Light into the Future

Answers to the burning questions regarding the acquisition of Cthulhu: Death May Die

Iä! Iä! Investigators fhtagn!

As you are all surely aware by now, a couple weeks ago the Cthulhu: Death May Die IP was acquired by asmodee. Such a momentous shift understandably raises a lot of questions regarding the future of the game and of this particular crowdfunding campaign. Now that the control of the Gamefound page has been transferred to asmodee, we want to clarify things as much as we can to put you at ease and start this exciting journey on the right foot.

Will I get my Forbidden Reaches pledge?

Yes, absolutely! asmodee is fully committed to producing and delivering this crowdfunding campaign. Backers can rest assured they will receive what they ordered.

When will the pledges be delivered?

We are still ascertaining the exact status of all the print files and miniature molds for this project, so we can’t yet give a precise answer. Work is pretty advanced, but there are still some key factors missing before manufacturing can start. We can tell that delivery won’t happen in the original estimated date, so a few months of delay are to be expected. As the project creator is now a company based in a different location, and with potentially different fulfillment, we are also checking all taxes and tariffs elements are correct. We’ll give you more precise information once everything is properly set in motion.

Will the Pledge Manager be reopened?

Yes, since production can’t start for a little longer still, we will reopen the Pledge Manager for a limited time. This will allow:

  • Backers can add any missing items to their pledge
  • Backers can update their shipping address directly.
  • New backers (or backers who previously cancelled their pledge) can join the campaign with a new pledge.

We will announce soon when the PM will reopen and what the new deadline will be.

What happens to pending Refund requests?

asmodee is working with CMON to assess and process the pending refund requests. In a little while we will be contacting backers with open support tickets to check whether they still want to proceed with their refund or not. In the meantime, if you still want to support the project you can withdraw your refund request by contacting our customer service HERE (use the “I have a different question” form towards the bottom of the page).

Who will be working on the game from now on?

Most of the work on Forbidden Reaches is already done, so we will only be doing final revisions. That said, most of the original creative team for Cthulhu: Death May Die is still involved – whether as employees or contractors of asmodee, including developers, graphic designers, and producers, so rest assured the project remains in very good hands. The game will be produced using the same materials and the same factories as previous DMD projects, so the quality will be up to the high standards you have come to expect from this line.

What’s the future of Cthulhu: Death May Die?

While asmodee’s first priority is making sure Forbidden Reaches is delivered with the best quality possible, we are definitely not stopping there. Cthulhu: Death May Die is an amazing game that offers limitless possibilities, so we are already studying and discussing many exciting paths we might take it on within the wider asmodee world.

The Great Old One stirs. Sleep tight.

En Q1 2026

Je me demande si DC United va réussir à passer. Ou alors, est-ce que Spin Master aura envie de reprendre le bébé ?
