Dernière update avec les masters résines…

Production Update #1

Hey, hunters! The massive monster miniatures have been pretty elusive of late, but we managed to track them down — now in physical form, for the very first time!

Not only that, but we’re super excited to confirm all of the resin masters, for every Monster Hunter World: The Board Game miniature, have now been approved by Capcom!

That’s a not-so-mini milestone for two reasons:

  1. Because these minis are, well, not so mini after all
  2. Now the resin masters are approved, work can begin on creating the moulds and, very soon, your minis!

(Not sure what a resin master is? No problem. A resin master is a prototype miniature created so our team can check they’re satisfied with design and quality. That way, we can make sure the design and moulds work as expected before hitting ‘print’ on thousands of monsters.)

But enough from us. You want to see some pictures, right? Feast your eyes on these beasts…

Because this is a behind-the-scenes peek, not all of the photos will be of studio standard (and please excuse the fingers and hands that are there to make sure we have a clear view of the details!).

(Bear in mind these minis aren’t based, so they need the dice to help them stand for now.)

And of course, you’ll need hunters to take them on with…

What? You didn’t think we’d share them all at once, did you?

Oh, go on then. One or two more…

We’ll be back very soon with another Tweaks & Sneaks update and more behind-the-scenes pics, so stay tuned!

Et finalement, t’as pledgé ? :stuck_out_tongue:

Naaaaan, je suis un homme fort mon bon monsieur :stuck_out_tongue: .

:joy::joy::joy:

:stuck_out_tongue:

Greetings, hunters. The time has come for monster handling fees to be paid shipping payments to be made, so your monsters can travel safely to you later this year!

We’ll reopen the Gamefound pledge manager later today so you can make your shipping payment, and we’ll keep it open until March 31.

Last Chance for a Monster Discount! Late Pledges + Add-ons

Because we’ll be submitting final order quantities to the factory on March 7, you’ve now got until March 4 to upgrade your pledge or add any add-ons you don’t want to miss out on!

We’ll also be taking late pledges from today until March 4. So, if any of your friends missed out the first time around, or if you’d like to add more rewards to your pledge at a massive Kickstarter discount, this is your last chance!

(Sadly, we can’t keep the late pledge open until March 31, because we need to confirm order quantities with the factory to make sure your rewards aren’t delayed.)

A Note on Shipping Costs

As you’ll probably remember from this update, instead of taking shipping payments last year, we decided to delay shipping costs for Monster Hunter World: The Board Game to give time for the shipping situation to settle.

In that time, there’s been a boat crisis, trucking crisis, a labour shortage, a container shortage, and we’re all still feeling the effects of COVID. From 2021-2022, shipping prices went up by 10%. One of our US hubs saw prices go up 25%!

We’d hoped that, by delaying shipping payments, the costs might reduce to closer to pre-COVID levels. Although that didn’t happen, we’ve done what we can to keep costs as low as possible for you.

This Kickstarter is also still customs friendly for the USA, United Kingdom, EU, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and China, which means we won’t charge you for any extra VAT, duties, or taxes on your pledge. We’ll cover those costs for you.

And, although we weren’t able to get the shipping costs as low as we wanted, we’re happy to confirm all backers are getting an even BIGGER Kickstarter discount than we originally said during the Kickstarter.

Due to the sheer size of the minis inside, the number of cards and components, and the increase in materials and shipping costs, we can now confirm the MSRP for one core box — Ancient Forest or Wildspire Waste — will be $119.95 / €109.95 / £109.99.

So, by backing Monster Hunter World: The Board Game on Kickstarter, you’ve gotten at least a 40% discount on the core boxes, plus all the Kickstarter exclusives! For a breakdown of Kickstarter versus retail prices, check out the table above.

Update #39 - Production Update & Final PVC Mini Samples!

Thanks for your patience in waiting for this production update. We wanted to wait until we had the full picture before sharing an update, which we can now do. We’ve also been working super hard behind the scenes to get everything approved and ready to go.

All PVC miniature samples are now approved and with the factory, and we’re just finalising the last print components for production. This does mean that we’ll be a little later on the September estimate for fulfilment and will instead be fulfilling in November / December.

We want to thank every single backer for bringing Monster Hunter World: The Board Game to life. Although it isn’t unusual for Kickstarter projects of this size to have some delays, we’d hoped to continue our record of delivering Kickstarters on time and even early, just as we did with Bardsung.

We’ve made absolutely sure Monster Hunter World: The Board Game will be worth the wait, both in value, exclusives, and gameplay. We can also now share some photos of the final minis with you — and because these are the final minis, they’re exactly like the ones you’ll receive (with die and hunters for scale)!

Diablos and Rathalos with dual blades hunter for scale!

We’ll also be releasing the digital demos of Monster Hunter World: The Board Game for public play in June.

It’s the same demo you saw on videos during the campaign, so it’s a slightly earlier and unproofed version of the game, but it’ll still give you a good idea of how to play. Although it’s not the same as having the physical game, we hope it’ll go some way towards making the wait a little easier.

We’ve got the final Tweaks & Sneaks update ready to go, so we’ll be back to share that with you this month.
