Bon, ben campagne arrêtée :
"Dear backers, followers and players,
It is with a heavy heart that I write this update to let you know that I’ve decided to cancel this campaign.
I’ve told you several times, we put our hearts into this, I personally took responsibility for the first cancellation (on Kickstarter at the time). And when the debt was paid off, I wanted to try again by better preparing this project to adapt the great Planet of the Apes license. Unfortunately, the launch didn’t go as planned and mere rumors (to which I responded as best I could, no need to go over them again) were enough to clip our wings. And the particularly difficult context of crowdfunding at the moment means that a failed launch is almost impossible to make up for.
We tried with our small team to show you through updates what the final offering would look like, and we hoped that the momentum would finally kick in. We believed in it, thanks especially to the unwavering support of a number of people who have expressed their support in the comments on this page, and whom I’d like to thank from the bottom of my heart (you’ll know who they are). You have supported us, defended us, and most importantly, expressed your enthusiasm for this project that we love so much. We also looked for alternative funding, but we were still a long way off. After days of stagnation in the campaign, it is time to throw in the towel. As the campaign is about to be canceled, none of you will be charged.
It’s a sad and difficult moment for you and for me. What I’ve learned is that our small structure was not ready to take on a project of this magnitude on its own. I’ve also learned that the majority of players who have tried this game have liked it, whether during our many private tests, at conventions, or on TTS. I still think it’s not the proposal that’s at fault but rather the unfavorable context. I still believe that with a recognized and reputable publisher, this project can appeal to a wide audience.
So I will spend the next few weeks exploring the market to see if such a publisher profile would be willing to take over the game, knowing that Z or Alive will hand over everything that has been done and take care of nothing else.
Finally, I’d like to thank everyone who believed in us and supported us even at the height of criticism. You helped me in my time of need. Thank you all.
Apes… Together… Strong…
