The time has come. We've been working on this for a while, and you've been patient. So today, before anyone else, we want to show you what we've been making.
Meet Primal: Legends ![]()
A standalone boss-battling card game set in an ancient era of Thyrea, thousands of years before The Awakening.
Three boxes, three legendary boss-fights. In each one you take the role of one of the First Hunters facing one of the Primordials.
Each box is a complete solo-game that stands on its own. Combine any two or all three for 2-3 player co-op, mixing and matching hunters and monsters.
Pure card-play
Legends shares its lore and engine with The Awakening, but it's a different experience, going its own way.
We took the heart of the system you know (the reaction system, the card sequencing, the multi-use cards) and built Legends around it. No board. No miniatures. No equipment. No deck-construction. Those belong to The Awakening. What's here is pure card-play, in a form you can put on the table in minutes and enjoy quick fights one after the other.
For those of you who already play Primal, these are fresh challenges, a spin-off in the game's lore.
And for those who've always heard about Primal but couldn't quite get there, Legends is a new way in.
Legendary fights
Each hunter is new and plays differently, and each monster is a unique puzzle. Four difficulty levels per fight (Normal, Advanced, Hard, Nightmare), so beating a box means earning your way through all of them.
The Road to launch
Pre-orders open in late summer, on reggiegames.com, our boutique store.
Between now and then we'll share the rest, one piece at a time: the hunters, the monsters, the gameplay, the print. We've got the summer. We're not rushing.
Thanks for being here, and for waiting.
