I am Yofi, currently representing Junpei, the CEO of Uchibacoya.
First of all, I regret to inform you that the delivery of the Aqua Garden Beach Combing will be further delayed.
And here, I -in the name of Uchibacoya- would like to sincerely apologize and provide an explanation of the situation.
The shipments to Europe and Asia have arrived at the warehouse and we were at the final stage of preparing for delivery. However, when we checked the invoice from the shipping company, they presented us with an amount that was more than three times of what we had anticipated (approximately $70,000 for 600 pcs).
Paying this shipping fee would lead to a significant financial loss for us, and the numbers were unbelievably different from the quotation we received previously. We immediately reached out to our staff in charge of shipping for clarification. It was then that we discovered something truly unbelievable.
He had lied to us and proceeded without obtaining a quotation. The quotation we saw previously was from a previous project he had, and he had not obtained a new quotation for the Beach Combing project. In other words, he had arranged the transportation to the warehouse without receiving any quotation.
His mistakes, including but not limited to poor customer service and shipping delays, were far too numerous and definitely unacceptable. Junpei has already fired him, but the tasks he was assigned for already became too complex it even become a black box. So, he need to take responsibility and had to continue working until the Beach Combing project’s shipments are completed.
Junpei has always been committed to providing sincere updates and communication to the backers. He genuinely valued every customer and was truly delighted that we could finally proceed with the shipments. However, due to the shock he received from this staff’s actions of proceeding without obtaining an actual quotation and the extended delay in shipments, Junpei experienced severe headaches and other health issues.
We believe that this kind of news should be delivered to you immediately. That’s why I am helping Junpei to send this message so that this can reach you as soon as possible.
Currently, me (Yofi) and Junpei are urgently arranging for another shipping company to handle the shipping. We are in the process of obtaining estimates from various shipping companies, but most likely that using a warehouse in Netherlands for shipping within the EU is the only option.
In that case, we would need to obtain a VAT number, which will definitely take some time. At this point, we are uncertain about the exact time it will take to obtain new quotations and the VAT number.
It may take more than a month until the shipments can actually start to be processed (again).
To be honest, we never anticipated that our (former) shipping staff would resort to such lies, and we are quite surprised by the current situation.
Once again, we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused by the repeating delays. As soon as we have a clear schedule, we will contact you immediately.

Bon, du coup c’est pas pour tout de suite… Mais c’est chelou leurs histoires. Ils arrêtent pas de blâmer un gars pour tous les malheurs… Ils ont même dû renvoyer une actu d’excuse la dernière fois parce que les gens étaient pas contents de la façon dont ils accusaient les autres…
