Check out our very first pre-campaign update and learn more about The Grand Quest!
Tamers,
We’re kicking things off with a huge thank you to the over 11,000 of you who are already following the campaign page for Dragon Eclipse: Grand Quest! We’re excited to see this number grow as more and more fans dive back into the magical and mysterious world of the Eclipse.
As many of you are about to receive your pledges from the first Dragon Eclipse campaign, we hope that your journeys through its lush, enchanted world will only deepen your excitement for what’s coming next.
While The Grand Quest is still in the early stages of development, our Dev Team is already hard at work crafting an all-new branching story, designing new enemy Mystlings, and exploring mechanics that will expand and deepen your journey.
Today marks the very first update in this new adventure—and while we have many surprises in store, we want to give you a small peek at what’s ahead.
Compatibility & New Features
One of the biggest questions we’ve heard is: Can I use my Mystlings from the first game in The Grand Quest?
Well, we are doing everything we can to allow players to use their previously bonded Mystlings. However, due to the narrative direction of this new story, some won’t be returning as playable companions.
In their place, The Grand Quest will introduce new Mystlings, including two new starter ones, along with many familiar faces that can be encountered randomly, obtained through events, or traded for during your journey.
We’re also working on an exciting new feature: egg raising. In The Grand Quest, Tamers may be able to discover and nurture Mystling eggs—watching them grow into companions uniquely shaped by your journey. We hope to share more on this mechanic in an upcoming update within the next month or two.
Mystling Spotlight: Crestan
To kick things off, meet one of the new enemy Mystlings you may face during your quest—Crestan.

Being able to dive and fly, Crestans are often referred to as the dukes of the sea. However, their behavior is sometimes not royal at all, as their family pods are known to chase ships and boats away from their territories, shrieking and damaging the hull. Although rather not aggressive toward people, they have, at times, pulled a person into the water.

Crestans are curious creatures and when they are not busy defending their territory, they keep searching for objects they deem valuable. According to sea legends, every pod has a stash at times pods of Crestans wage wars over it.

And this is just the beginning.
We’ll be back in a few weeks with more sneak peeks, mechanics breakdowns, and of course—new Mystlings. Until then…
Take care, Tamers.
The Grand Quest awaits.
