Faut savoir quel est cet afflux d’annulations aussi. Si ce sont des FR parce qu’ils veulent passer par Philli, IV Studio le voit peut être d’un mauvais oeil …

La preco phili c’était une vente flash qui se terminait en même temps que la campagne non ?
Franchement tu fais un pledge retailer t’assumes…
Je ne connaissais pas cet éditeur et il donne pas envie. Entre la surproduction et l’annulation de bosser avec Philibert, on sent qu’ils aiment l’argent. J’étais bien content avant de recevoir le mail. Ça leur retombera dessus à un moment ou un autre.
Et malgré tout je n’ai pas backé ce jeu ! Il faut reconnaître qu’il n’a pas la carrure d’un Veiled Fate… du coup je ne suis pas surpris par les late cancel.
C’est un peu le même débat qu’avec Steam Up mais en pire : vu l’abondance de projets et l’avalanche de taxes, est-il bien raisonnable de proposer un filler aussi deluxe ? Je dis « en pire », car le marketing d’IV est particulièrement agressif, et donc coûteux.

Ça me rappelle Feed the Kraken de Funtail. La deluxe était à 100€ avec les fdp et était trouvable à 80€ fdpin sur des sites allemands. Sauf qu’il ont laissé faire et se sont mis des backers à dos.
Du coup je peux comprendre. Mais en même temps, ils s’attendent à quoi en proposant une offre retail bien moins chère que le prix du pledge ?
Pour le coup, comme ça avait été dit Mythic Mischief était trop cher dans le KS pour ce que c’est. Mais j’ai quand même craqué sur l’offre de Philibert. Tant pis pour eux du coup.

Pour le prix de Mythic Mischief, j’ai repris la deuxième édition d’IKI et la préco de Tyrants of the Underdark chez Phiphi. Et je crois que je suis gagnant en fin de compte.

Il y a qq semaines je demandais une explication sur leur DUTY FREE.
Et pourquoi dans ce cas payer une TVA…
Forgive my lack of French, but I work for the publisher and wanted to share our part of the story.
Philibert had not placed any order with us before they started taking preorders on their site. In fact, Retailers had not even been allowed into the pledge manager at that time.
We were appalled to find a retailer selling a game that they had not purchased from us (in order to beat their competition to market I assume) and considered this a major breach of trust. We decided to not invite them to the pledge manager due to this.
We did not cancel their pledge as it never existed.
I’m very frustrated with Philbert for not explaining their error and instead making it seem as if we are in the wrong.

Yeah not a great situation. We are sorry for the confusion and hopefully some other retailers who followed the process will be opening preorders soon!
So you are telling us that Philibert actually opened pre-orders without any kind of information from you ? Not even an oral agreement ?
Philibert is the biggest online shop in France and belongs to Asmodee. This is a bit awkward.

We had been talking with them and they had some info on what the pledge manager orders would be like, but they had not been in the pledge manager, placed an order, or spent any money.
We were surprised to see any preorders live (no other retailer did so with the same info) and our executives decided to exclude them from being a part of this campaign due to the breach of trust.

Philibert might have open the preorders a bit early as they did not have your agreement and hoped to use the preorders to pay the retailer pledge. But if you were discussing the retailer pledge’s terms with them I dont really see the matter.
In a way they’ve sold something that they didnt have, like publishers sell games that are still in development and they dont have neither…

Well so i guess they were a bit too early on pre-orders but it sounds harsh to exclude them for good.
Despite the success of your campaign, you probably missed out on quite a few sells from Phillibert.
As it was said in older messages, this « not new » law on taxes and VAT put a lot of European backers to get a better deal elsewhere. Prices are rising up too much for some (most ?) of us. This is something you should consider in your next projects.
