This is a big update indeed to celebrate Day 10 of the campaign! We’ve got the final unlock for “We the Damned”, you smashed our latest Social Stretch Goal, plus, something really quite big is lurking ahead, so let’s get into it!
First up, Daily Unlock #10 brings us one new mini, 5 new NPC Tokens, and the feature-length scenario itself.

Searching for Fleur will take Julia and the rest of the Beaumont Agency to the darkest corners of the city and lead them to an epic confrontation with the leader of the Rougaroos himself, Gabriel Bergeron. Equal parts charm and savagery, Bergeron built the Rougaroos (who were historically the whipping boys of Dark Orleans) into an actual force to be reckoned with. Now, on the eve of him acquiring the weapon that will cement his status as Dark King of the Jungle, Julia and the rest of the Beamont Agents are all that stand in Bergeron’s way. Who will find damnation and who will find redemption in “We the Damned”?

As ever we won’t go into too much detail on the what, where, when, and why, but we’re really happy to share the “who” as Fleur is found in a ready-to-fight pose, standing upon a technologically advanced table… you’ll need to discover for yourself what that will mean for Fleur and the detectives.
We had a lot of fun bringing this mini to life with its scenic base and the many noticeable characteristics of Fleur herself. Let us know what you think of the new mini in the comments!
This completes the entire “We the Damned” scenario as you can see below!

So far we’ve unlocked: 2x minis,10x NPC tokens, 10x Consumable Cards, 16x Location Cards, 2x Scene Cards, 10x Story Cards, 4x Ability Cards, and two whole scenarios that will all be in The Yesterday Demon & Other Stories expansion for free for backers.
You Smashed the Social Stretch Goal!
Thank you for your support in sharing and engaging with the campaign. We’re delighted to say that custom plastic inserts with molded lids will now be part of the base game plus both the expansions of Lost to the Night and The Yesterday Demon & Other Stories.

A few questions have been raised on the inserts so we wanted to address these.
Q) Can we see the inserts now?
Work on the custom plastic inserts won’t begin until much later in the development of the game. We’ll share regular updates with you all on the art, writing, game development, and product development in the months after the campaign which will include details on the designs of the custom inserts.
Q) Will the inserts fit sleeved cards?
Adding space for sleeved cards adds a lot of potential width and depth to the box and card slots so it is a proposal we are not taking lightly. We are currently looking into a number of potential solutions to be able to achieve the desired result of storing both sleeved and unsleeved cards in a secure manner. We feel it’s important that any solution for sleeved card storage should not jeopardize the storage of the base components on their own.
One important note is that we generally do not recommend the sleeving of cards for The Dark Quarter. The material of sleeves and the lighting of your play area can result in sleeves interfering with the QR code scanning. The cards are also never shuffled and are not even held in a “hand” of cards, so the wear on them will be minimal.
We do really acknowledge the wishes of backers who want to protect their games, but we cannot at this stage 100% confirm that the insert will allow for sleeves cards to fit. We will share more as and when we’re able.
Q) Will the deluxe plastic tokens and metal experience coins fit in the inserts?
Yes, they will. The intention with these upgrades is that they will replace the punchboard tokens that come with the base game so will fit into those sections of the insert.
What’s Still to Come?
Well, the scenario that The Yesterday Demon & Other Stories expansion is named after is just around the corner, and something really quite staggering awaits our intrepid detectives…
