We are printing the language-independent game and all card illustrations first, then the last layer of ink will be the actual words of the cards. Think of it this way: All the cards are printed with all the colors of the illustration. Then, only the text needs to be printed in each of the three available languages (English, German, French). This procedure is faster and, to be honest, really cost effective. This means that we are on track to fulfill within the deadline as stated in the previous update (March 2021)!
What we now need from you is a few German speaking and French speaking volunteers. We want to double check a few different parts of the translations to evaluate the accuracy, quality, and overall feel of some parts of the translation. We want to test part of the rulebook, a card, and part of a scenario. Please send us a private message (it’s very important for all of this to be done privately and anonymously) so we can book a date for you to have a look at the above.
Donc la traduction sera le résultat de gentils contributeurs amateurs des internets. « Comme à l’ancienne » ais-je envie de dire. Ou plus clairement : « on a pas de budget à allouer à la trad, viendez nous aider en bénévole ».
Je ne doute pas de la bonne volonté des gens qui vont se porter volontaires et il est possible que le résultat soit excellent, mais j’avoue que cette attitude ne me rassure pas trop, surtout sur un jeu de cette envergure.
La trad est un travail de professionnel, mince flute crotte.
