CMON Overall Project Status Update

Hello, Backers,

We owe all of you a much delayed and candid update on our status in general. Today, we’d like to share some good news and do a check-in about the realities of fulfillment for us moving forward.

Post company streamlining, we’re working and operating at a scale that pushed our current team to its limits. With a fraction of employees remaining, every day has been a balancing act between managing production, logistics, customer service, and financial obligations. We have been overwhelmed by the sheer volume of day-to-day tasks. On top of this, rumors and panic have been spreading, understandably, with the lack of communication, which has resulted in us experiencing the highest number of refund requests in CMON’s history. This has created a vicious cycle:

  • The slower fulfillment is, the more refund requests we receive.
  • The more refunds we process, the fewer resources we have to accelerate fulfillment.
  • With more resources funnelled into refunds over fulfillment, fulfillment slows down even further.

This cycle has snowballed and grown into one of the toughest challenges we have ever faced. We know silence is frustrating. But with movement slowed on all fronts, regular communication about stalled projects seem counter-intuitive, and we’ve decided to keep it limited to only update when we have actual news to share. What we can do today is offer much more transparency about where the projects are and what we’re doing at the moment. With that, here are the general updates.

DCeased

Print files and color proofs for the entire project has been approved and ready for mass production. Plastics had begun preliminary mass production but had been halted until the project is queued up again.

Projects Shipping (U.S. Tariffs)

Witching Hour and Dark Providence have been fully packed and are waiting to leave the warehouse. After much negotiation regarding logistics and freight shipping, we have sent out individual emails to affected backers to collect tariff charges required for delivery.

It can be frustrating to be asked for additional charges after pledging, and we share that frustration. We have worked to ensure that backers are charged as little as possible, covering only a small portion of the total tariff expense. These tariffs, while not large in absolute numbers, represent costs per pledge that we unfortunately cannot absorb given our current financial position:

  • Witching Hour: $0.69 per pledge
  • Dark Providence: $2.30 per pledge

Upcoming Projects

For Dune: Desert War, the Mass Production Copies (MPCs) arrived, been thoroughly checked, and approved. The project is in final assembly and preparing for shipping. It will be the next project in line to leave our warehouse.

At the same time, the Assassin’s Creed Roleplaying Game is well advanced in production. The dice and cards have been fully produced, and the books, miniatures, and trays are currently in mid-mass production. Once mass production is complete, assembly and shipping will follow. Both projects are positioned to move forward quickly once the prior steps are completed.

While we recognize that the situation may seem dissapointing, we are making steady progress on clearing our backlog and delivering our campaigns. The road ahead will be difficult, and we thank you for your continued patience, understanding, and trust as we navigate it. We continue to move forward and remain fully committed to fulfilling every project we promised.

Ils vont demander 69 cents? Vraiment ?

1 « J'aime »

$0.69 => $6.90
Là, c’est déjà plus cohérent.

2 « J'aime »

Je dirai plutôt 690$ perso.

2 « J'aime »
